We worked on this project with Lori Stephens, owner of Broadleaf Architecture. Together we expanded the galley kitchen, darkened by the existing porch roof, into a creative cooking space – complete with a “pot-filler” (long story). As we installed the last bit of woodwork it looked like it had always been part of the original house; or maybe what the original house had always wanted. The kitchen emerged from the shadows of the old roof and glorified the cooking and baking talents of this wonderful couple.
In 2011, W.L. Construction received a Certificate of Merit from the City of Corvallis Historic Resources Commission for our “historically sympathetic rehabilitation” of this client’s home.
